A lot of doubt in my mind asked: I asked a question about a credit card company deny my application because I am not a Permanent Resident. After couple of months, I apply for the same company and told them that I am a PR and they sent me the Credit card. (My credit history is perfect) What are they really checking? Credit history or present status of a person? By saying this information is it right or wrong?

me2 asked: I am about to enter a a debt management program for one of my credit cards. The say that they can negotiate a settlement. My question is can I do that on my own? Will the credit card company listen to me? or do I need to let the management service handle it?

Mark R asked: I have a credit card with a credit limit of $12,500. I have not only been making the payments each month, but I have been paying off my monthly balance at the end of each month consistently. My father told me that, given the situation of today’s financial market, the bank can decide to lower my limit. Is this possible? Is this likely? If so, what factors would influence their decision to lower my credit limit?

Eddie Cacciatore, Private Eye asked: This term change is after several years, and it was a reputable credit card company.
If I don’t agree to the new (worse) terms, they will cancel my card, and I’ll have to pay the remaining balance. Would this hurt my credit rating if I don’t accept the new terms, let them cancel my card and just pay off what I owe over the year?
