I am being sued by Apothaker & ***. and on the papers they claim to be representing Discover.
Discover has this listed as profit and loss right off bad debt on my credit report. Wouldn’t that mean they sold the debt?

How do I know if these credit card companies are reputable?

Within the past couple of months, I’ve been receiving several letters per week from credit card companies enticing me to apply. I have bad credit, got rid of all my credit cards eight years ago, and am still paying off old debt. Could these letters have something to do with the fact I bought a new car last fall? Should I apply for a card to build my credit back up? How would I know what company to go with?

I’m looking to rebuild my credit, and a credit card seems to be the most popular way to get it done. I have had bad credit, and am now told that it is up to zero. What kind of card can I get, or can I even get one?

My credit card balance is over 50%. How long will it take my credit score to go back up?

Hi. I recently just got my first credit card ever and used it to make a $1600 purchase. The credit limit is $3000, so obviously I’m over 50% of the balance, and I just learned that’s bad for credit scores. I expect to be able to pay off the purchase in the next two or three months. Will my credit score go back up immediately after I get the balance on my card down, or will it take a while? Thanks.
